THE CLUB

The IGNFA Movie Club is an officer's club of Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy (IGNFA) serving as a forum for interaction among IFS officer trainees through the medium of films. The IGNFA Club, a larger umbrella headed by the Director, IGNFA consists of various clubs like Computer, Sports, Wildlife and Photography, Literary, Cultural, Lounge besides the Movie club.
The IGNFA Movie Club is manned by a Secretary, generally a senior batch Officer trainee and a Joint Secretary, a junior batch Officer trainee. A faculty member is the advisor.

WHAT WE DO?

  • WEEKEND MOVIE MAGIC - Screening movies every weekend and during holidays
  • DOCUMENTARIES - Screening and reviewing documentaries relevant to the social sphere witnessed today, with emphasis on nature and wildlife conservation
  • FILM FESTIVALS - Organising film festivals at regular intervals catering to a larger or specific audience
  • SHORT FILM MAKING - Popularising the art of short film-making through competitions, discussions and workshops
  • ENVIRONMENTAL APPRECIATION AND LEADERSHIP INITIATIVES - Helping students gain a new appreciation for relationships with natural world, thus increasing their stake in tommorow's decisions.
